Are you looking for a fun game to play with your friends and family? Why not try building your own Jumbo Jenga? Not only is it a great game, but it’s also a fantastic DIY project that you can do at home. Imagine how proud you’ll feel when you’re playing with your very own handmade Jumbo Jenga set.

To make your Jumbo Jenga set, you’ll need some materials and tools. Here’s a list of what you’ll need:

  • 54 wooden blocks that are 2×4 inches and 8 feet long
  • A saw (hand saw or circular saw)
  • Sandpaper (80 grit and 120 grit)
  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil
  • Paint (optional)
  • Paintbrush (optional)

You can find all these materials and tools at your local hardware store. Once you have everything you need, you’re ready to start building your Jumbo Jenga set.

  1. Measure and cut your wooden blocks into 10.5-inch pieces. You should end up with 54 blocks.

  2. Sand the rough edges of each block with 80 grit sandpaper, then repeat with 120 grit sandpaper for a smoother finish.

  3. (Optional) Paint each block a different color or design to make the game more fun and personalized.

  4. Once the paint is dry (if you decided to paint), stack the blocks in sets of three, alternating their direction (horizontal and vertical). This will create a sturdy base for the game.

  5. Start stacking the blocks on top of each other, three blocks per layer, making sure to alternate their direction as well. Use a steady hand and try not to wiggle the blocks too much while stacking.

  6. Keep stacking the blocks until the tower falls, or until it reaches a height that’s too hard to reach. The winner is the one who stacks the highest block before the tower falls.

Congratulations! You’ve just made your very own Jumbo Jenga set. Now it’s time to invite your friends and family over for a fun game night. Enjoy!
